What will be the complications after going through with deformity correction surgery?

Deformity correction is the limb lengthening procedure that sometimes poses complications. It includes pin tract infections, which should not be neglected. Proper pin track care is initiated after the surgery in order to prevent pin loosening. Routinely antibiotics are also prescribed to treat the patients.

Joint stiffness is also observed during lengthening procedure which can be taken care with Physiotherapy. Other than that, the patient might suffer from nerve injury and vessel injury.
