Dr. Gurinder Bedi is currently working as the Principal Director and Head of department Orthopedics at Fortis hospital,Vasant Kunj,New Delhi which is one of the capitals premier institutions. The hospital itself is a multi-specialty hospital and provides a wide array of treatment options. The Orthopedic department itself is widely recognised both amongst the patients and the orthopaedic fraternity for the high level of competence and care provided.

Dr.Bedi's spectrum of interest include Joint replacement surgery, Arthroscopy and sports medicine, Foot and Ankle surgery, Trauma management and Spinal issues management. He prides himself as being abreast of developments in all these fields through regular involvement in courses and rigorous academic involvement. He is a valued teacher and a lecturer on many of these topics in almost all major conferences. He regularly operates on almost every day of the week and has a patient base from almost all over India.

His joint replacement programme in the hospital includes primary and revision joint replacement of knees, hips, shoulder and elbow. The hospital has robotic Orthopedic surgery unit for some of these surgeries. He runs a fellowship programme for imparting knowledge on robotic Knee surgery. He has been invited as an expert speaker in the Indian arthroplasty association(IAA) meet and the Indian Society of hip and knee surgery (ISHK) meeting besides the MAX Smart osteoplasty conclave, ISKSAA, CCT (AIIMS), Pune Arthroplasty and the Revision arthroplasty conference trauma meeting. Joint replacement are performed almost everyday in his operation list.

Dr. Bedi is currently the President of Delhi Orthopaedic Association. He organises teaching session for the post graduate students and is ex Editor & current Assoc Editor of both the prime Indian Journals IJO & JCOT. He also regularly lectures on many international and national level conferences besides being an AO (Swiss group) trauma trainer. Invited for lectures in DOA/ IOACON/ ISKSAA, IAA, ISHK and other national meetings.

Fortis runs a very robust Accident & Emerg dept and managing fracture patients is regularly done with dedicated operation list for fracture caes. There is a special emphasis on polytrauma patients and also fractures in the elderly which require very focused and intensive treatment.

The sports medicine and arthroscopy program has been able to return many patients back to their sports and operating on ACL. PCL and meniscus surgery has provided relief to many patients. Many patients have been treated shoulder instability and muscle tears done arthroscopically and on regular basis.

He is available in the hospital everyday and maintains good follow up contacts with all patients in the outpatient clinic with the main emphasis on compassion and empathy with transparency
